The officer used a chokehold that is currently illegal and banned by the NYPD. Garner screamed 11 times that he was unable to breathe, but the officers did not let go. Eric Garner ended up dying. Even though this chokehold that was used by the officer was banned by the NYPD, the officer e nded up not being indicted for the murder of Eric Garner (Jackson, 2016). This caused many reports of rioting and protests by members of Black Lives Matter around the United States. About a month after the murder of Eric Garner, Michael Brown became another victim of police brutality. At the time of his death, Michael Brown was unarmed and only 18 years old (Diversi, 2016). The officer stated he stopped two African Americans for walking down the middle of the road. According to the officer, the two men became aggravated and assaulted the officer. Brown then tried reaching for Officer Darren Wilsons gun. Due to this the officer reportedly fired off a shot. The two men ran away from the officer, but the officer pursued the suspects. After the pursuit, Brown began walking toward the officer aggressively. After many warnings, the officer fired off many bullets killing Michael Brown. There was another side to this story that stated something else completely different happened. Instead of Michael Brown walking aggressively towards the officer, it was the officer that was walking aggressively towards Brown. Either way, Michael Brown was unarmed and was unfortunately ki lled by Officer Darren Wilson (Pohl Potterf, 2018). The researchers were trying to differentiate whether the existence of symptoms of autism making it possible to be a different developmental disorder and whether or not the symptoms increase with age (Dalery et al. 2006). In the results from children under 26 months, the findings were insignificant and eerily similar to the experiment conducted by Chairman et al. They were unable to determine if the clear signs of developmental delay or autism were definite (Dalery et al. 2006). Symptoms of Autism Children diagnosed with Autism act differently from one another and no two autistic children have the same symptoms or act the same (CDC 2007). Children with Autism have severe impairments with social, emotional, and communication skills. Some have difficulty accomplishing everyday tasks and have to maintain a consistent day to day routine (CDC 2007). The researchers wanted to determine if repetitive behavior was a distinguishable sign of autism in children less than 51 months. Since there are many different types of repetitive behavior, the different types were classified into two categories: higher and lower levels of repetitive behavior (Gray et al. 1995). According to Gray et al. , higher level repetitive behavior is highly consistent with autistic children under the age of 51 months. Low level repetitive behavior was not a direct diagnosis with autism. A significant number of children with other developmental delay disorders often demonstrated aspects of lower level repetitive behavior (Gray et al. 1995). The issues has brought sharp divisions among individuals in various nations with one school of thought asserting that it is what a child is exposed to daily and perform frequently, that shape his behavior. They note that children tend to borrow the behaviors and character traits of their parents or care givers who spend more time with them. However, critics of the notion indicate that conduct disorders in children cannot be said to be exclusively caused by the style of attachment that one is exposed to from childhood. The behaviors may not be seen in their early childhood, but can be evident in later stages of life as he develops. Results and Findings Clearly, behavior development in children starts from early stages in life. The behaviors that they portray are dependent on how they are brought up, taught and how they are parented. Other behaviors that children develop are also dependent on genetic ideals or character traits that are genetically transferred (Flores, 2004). It is imperative to note that how a child is brought up is how he is bound to be in future. If a child is parented well and taught good moral values, that child will be an exemplary person who respect people. However, if a child is parented poorly the end results are severe attachment disorders that compromise their capacity socially, morally and intellectually. Children, who are parented well under secure attachment parenting style, are always social people who interact with everyone regardless of age without fear. They are industrious, confident, excel in school, make friends easily and are self-reliant. These virt ues are inculcated in them as they grow by those who parent them. Consequently, children who develop bad behaviors are deemed to have not received proper parenting at their infant stages. Such children suffer from attachment disorder complications that impede their productivity. They are antisocial, fearful, and reserved in various aspects. Indeed, attachment style that a child is exposed to defines his behavior currently and in future. This beats the logic that is being introduced by the critics of this notion that parenting style has nothing to do with behavior. For instance, when one associates with a criminal then the person is likely to develop criminal behaviors. When one associates with a Christian, he is bound to display noble behaviors and character of Christians. This happens since people tend to adopt behaviors that are presented to them by the environment.
